Rebecca Herbert

Rebecca Herbert
CHAIR
Rebecca has 20 years’ experience in youth work and the youth criminal justice sector. She has lived in London most of her life and currently lives in Hackney.
She holds a master’s degree in Youth Work. She assists with young people detained at police stations by acting as an Appropriate Adult which gives her a good understanding of the challenges faced by young people today.

Gary is the director of business change from HM Prisons and Probation Services. He was previously the Head Governor for HMP Pentonville Prison, Islington.
His experience of the criminal justice system and youth offending allows him to advise our charity on best practice. His experience as a senior manager and his project management skills allow him to advise on our programme delivery.

Aaron Barnes

Aaron Barnes

Aaron is an Inspector in the Metropolitan Police. He is responsible for the Safer Neighbourhood Teams in Lambeth. He has always worked in front line policing and supporting local communities.
This gives him an in depth understanding of how best to support young people growing up in London.

Colin Adams, MBE

Colin Adams, MBE
TRUSTEE
Colin was awarded an MBE in 2007 for services to equality and diversity and young people. He has worked in a number of different government departments for over 25 years, including the European Social Fund; the Small Business Advisory Service and Private Office for the Secretary of State for Employment at the time.
He is currently the Director of Hanley Crouch Community Association, a community hub in North Islington. He is also the chair of the Octopus Community Network and the Hate Crime Forum.

Scott is a retired Met Police Inspector. He worked for the foreign and commonwealth office before recently taking a post overseas.
He is currently working for the Falkland Islands Police (RFIP).
